Constructs miniature models of motion picture sets used in filming backgrounds, titles, and special effects according to scale. Cuts materials, such as wood, cardboard, or plastic to specified dimensions, using handtools. Fits and glues or tacks cutouts to form three-dimensional set pieces. Builds landscapes, using plaster of paris or modeling clay to represent trees and bushes. Trims and paints completed miniature set.
